Are you a recent graduate (or soon-to-be graduate) eager to build a career in renewable energy construction and technical project delivery? Join our Graduate Development
Programme and play a key role in building the UK’s future clean energy infrastructure.
About Us
We are a leading renewable energy development company, committed to delivering sustainable onshore wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the UK. As we expand our operations, we are looking for ambitious graduates to support the construction and technical delivery of our green energy projects.
The Role
As a Technical & Construction Graduate, you will gain hands-on experience in the construction and engineering aspects of renewable energy projects, from design through to completion. This structured two-year programme will provide exposure to real-world challenges and the opportunity to contribute to the development of renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
Site-finding: work closely with the Business Development team to assess onshore wind, solar, and battery storage sites at an early phase, including assessment of risks, opportunities and constraints.
Quality control and health & safety compliance: Assist with monitoring construction quality and performance, ensuring all installations meet the required standards, and ensuring H&S.
Site planning & design: Work with internal and external team members to technically and commercially optimise site designs and identifying mitigation solutions for technical issues.
Planning and communities: Work with project team members to prepare projects for planning applications. This may include attending public exhibitions and meeting stakeholders.
Technical support: Understand technologies and offerings from equipment suppliers to inform design decisions and support the tendering and contract award processes from a technical point of view.
Construction coordination: Support the construction team with project scheduling, on-site coordination, and ensuring that work is completed according to technical specifications.
What we’re looking for:
- A recent graduate (or soon-to-be graduate) with a degree in renewable energy engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- A strong interest in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of engineering processes and an ability to read technical drawings and understand technical specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site and liaise with contractors.
- A UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK for events and meetings
What we offer
- Hands-on training: Gain practical experience in the design and construction aspects of renewable energy projects, mentored by industry experts.
- Career development: Upon successful completion of the programme, high performers will be offered permanent roles in our technical or construction teams.
- Exposure to complex renewable energy projects that are making a positive impact on the environment and local communities.
- Competitive salary and benefits package, with opportunities for career growth in a rapidly expanding sector.
- A supportive, inclusive working environment with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and health & safety.
