We establish community funds for every OnPath renewables project to ensure that the benefits are channeled back into the local community. The Pates Hill Wind Farm Community Fund receives around £70,000 each year.
Pates Hill Wind Farm contributes to South Lanarkshire Council’s Renewable Energy Fund (REF) – a broader fund which administers revenues from all wind farms in the region, not just those owned by OnPath.
The funding supports projects that either acquire, develop, improve and/or maintain a capital asset such as land, buildings or roads, or one-off activities.
Community benefits for Pates Hill Wind Farm are managed and delivered by The West Lothian Development Trust. If you would like to apply for grant funding, please visit their website where you can find more information including guidance on eligibility and application forms.
