Welcome to our website sharing our ongoing journey together with local people to develop our plans for a new wind farm in the Cumnock and Doon Valley area. Our ambition is to deliver a project that reflects and is shaped by the opinions, needs and challenges of the local community.
In April we hosted a series of community consultation events for our proposed site across the three hosting Community Council areas of New Cumnock, Netherthird, Lugar, Logan and Cronberry. These events have provided us with valuable feedback, which we will consider as we move forward to the next phase of the design process. We are now using this feedback to refine and advance our project design, ensuring that the project delivers a just transition that is fair and inclusive for everyone.
Thanks to those who have taken the time to share their thoughts on our proposals. We will continue to provide updates as our plans progress and still welcome feedback using the form below, all feedback should be submitted before Friday 23rd May.
Early engagement is an essential part of our OnPath
Together approach to development. That’s why our
team met with the Nine Community
Councils Group (9CC Group), who represent
communities across the Cumnock and Doon Valley. Their goal is to ensure that you get the most from multi-million-pound community benefit funds generated by local wind farm developments. We’ve been listening to what truly matters and three key themes have emerged:
But we want to hear more about what matters to you.
Please note: Comments made to OnPath Energy are not representation to East Ayrshire Council. When OnPath Energy submits a planning application there will be an opportunity for members of the public to make direct representations to East Ayrshire Council’s Planning Department.
