OnPath Energy has been granted planning permission to develop a new wind farm near New Cumnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland comprising 22 turbines and generating enough renewable electricity to power more than 140,000 homes in the local area. The site will generate more than £15 million in community funds during its lifespan and will create significant benefits for the local environment.
The project was initially granted planning permission by East Ayrshire Council in March 2018 and further permission was granted in June 2020 to maximise the efficiency of the proposal by increasing the height of the turbines and the length of rotor diameter, and refining the layout out the site.
