Community benefits

We establish community funds for every OnPath renewables project to ensure that the benefits are channelled back into the local community. The Armistead Wind Farm Community Fund receives £13,763.93 each year. The fund is managed by a Community Fund committee made up of members from the local parish councils as well as the district and county councillors.

The committee agrees how and where grants are awarded based on a range of criteria and the information we receive in the funding application.

Projects from six parishes close to Armistead Wind Farm are eligible for funding including Killington, Lupton, Mansergh, New Hutton, Old Hutton and Preston Patrick, with priority given to groups nearest to the site. Projects outside of these areas may be considered if the application shows that they benefit residents of the six parishes.

These community funds are managed by our trusted partner Point North who have managed our community funds from the beginning.
