A neglected community space in Lesmahagow, South Lanarkshire was successfully transformed into a vibrant, inclusive hub thanks to a grant from our Kype Muir Wind Farm Community Fund and strong local partnership working.
McKirdy Park, long valued by residents but limited in its facilities, underwent a £225,000 redevelopment to unlock its full potential. The project was supported by £25,000 from OnPath, alongside additional match funding and grassroots community fundraising.
Funds are administered and awarded by South Lanarkshire Council. Working with the local authority, ensures that funds are used for projects tailored to local issues, identified by local people. By investing in projects with community-driven action at the core, we can help create long-lasting change where it’s needed most.
