A MAJOR £155m renewables project in South Lanarkshire, set to deliver £5m in community benefits over the next 30 years and power to over 45,000…
The six turbine site will have an installed capacity of up to 33.4MW, generating enough green electricity to power over 45,000 homes each year.
Onshore wind is an essential part of the UK’s strategy for achieving country-wide net zero targets and is one of the fastest growing energy sources in the world.

Civil engineering work started earlier this spring, with Glasgow-headquartered RJ McLeod delivering the balance of plant contract, covering all civil engineering work including cabling and off-site highway construction. RJM has completed the access track works, six hard stands, six foundations, construction of the control building and cabling works, helping to maintain the delivery programme.
The next step will be the delivery and installation of six 200m N163/5.X turbines managed by leading global manufacturer Nordex before commissioning, energisation and connection to The National Grid in spring of 2026.
OnPath Energy has committed to prioritising local contractors and businesses, with £91 million invested within 60m of the site.
