Record-breaking turbine blades installed at Mill Rig Wind Farm

After close collaboration with our principal contractors RJ McLeod and local authorities, the longest turbine blades ever installed at a UK onshore wind farm have now been successfully delivered to site and erected, with the vast majority of works now complete.

We’re currently in the final stages of connecting Mill Rig to the grid and performing the necessary tests, ensuring we meet required safety regulations. Commissioning, energisation and connection to The National Grid will follow later in the year.

The delivery process was been carefully designed in partnership with contractors and local authorities, including principal contractors RJ McLeod, Nordex, McFadyen’s Transport, Natural Power, Renfrewshire Council and South Lanarkshire Council to ensure minimal disruption to local communities.
