Pates Hill Wind Farm is a 14MW wind farm located in West Lothian which has been generating renewable electricity since it became operational in 2010.

Located near the village of West Calder, the wind farm provides an annual community fund of £70,000 for local communities. OnPath Energy acquired Pates Hill Wind Farm in January 2025.

Community benefits

We establish community funds for every OnPath renewable project to ensure the benefits are channelled back into the local community. Pates Hill generates around £70,000 annually in community benefit funding.

The majority of Pates Hill’s funding is managed by the West Lothian Development Trust (WLDT), who administer the community benefits from five other West Lothian wind farms.
