Pre-planning

Glen Water Wind Farm

Play your part in creating a greener future for Cumnock and Doon Valley.

Hello!

Glen Water Wind Farm

Glen Water Wind Farm is a proposed six turbine site in East Ayrshire that could provide up to 36,000 homes with clean electricity.

Through early, detailed and varied engagement we have been able to collect a wide range of feedback to create a proposal that reflects and is shaped by the opinions, needs and challenges of the local community.

We believe Glen Water is more than a wind farm – a project that delivers long lasting benefits that connects communitiessupports local jobs and skillscelebrates the area’s rich history and heritage, and puts nature at the heart of the plans.

Cleaner, warmer homes

Glen Water Wind Farm could help tackle fuel poverty and lower energy bills by funding eligible homes within 2km of the site with energy efficiency upgrades.
