Creating a better way together
Community feedback
As part of our OnPath Together development approach, in April 2025 we hosted three community consultation events across the would be three hosting Community Council areas of New Cumnock, Netherthird, Lugar, Logan, and Cronberry. These events provided us with valuable feedback, which our team considered as we refined the project in the next design phase. We have also received over 350 responses to our community survey which has been advertised on social media including 829 pieces of written feedback so far, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their thoughts with us.
Second community consultation events

- 3rd November, Logan Day Centre 1 pm – 7pm
- 4th November, New Cumnock Bowling Club 1pm – 7pm
- 5th November, Netherthird Community Centre 1pm – 7pm

Creating a better way together
To celebrate the site’s history as a former open-cast mine, we reached out to the three hosting Community Council primary schools to take part in an exciting site naming competition.
We received a lot of positive engagement, and some great names which were shortlisted and put to a public vote on our social media channels.
Glen Water Wind Farm was the chosen name and if approved will become the official name of the site for years to come!
