BESS, like the one we\u2019re proposing at Pond Flexible Energy Park, enable us to store renewable electricity for times when the wind isn\u2019t blowing or the sun isn\u2019t shining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">OnPath Energy (then Banks Renewables) submitted a planning application under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit (ECU). <strong>Planning consent was granted on the 24th March 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Copies of the decision letter and related documentation can be obtained on the Energy
