Wind Farm&nbsp;near\u202fLancaster&nbsp;to&nbsp;ERG\u202f,&nbsp;one of\u202fEurope\u2019s leading independent renewable energy producers. heading-h3 mb-3\" id=\"communitybenefits\"><strong>Creating community value<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-medium\"><br>We establish community funds for every OnPath renewables project to ensure that the benefits are channeled back into the local community. The Heysham South Wind Farm Community Fund currently receives \u00a311,380.79 each year from the wind farm. Grants are awarded to local voluntary organisations, community groups and environmental projects.<br><br>To ensure the funding is channelled to causes and activities important to the local communities, the fund is managed by a Community Fund committee made up of members from the local parish councils as well as the district and county councillors.<br><br>The Committee agrees how and where grants are awarded based on a range of criteria and the information received in the funding application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-medium\">Projects from the&nbsp;parishes of Heaton-with-Oxcliffe, Heysham, Middleton and Overton are eligible for funding and we may consider projects from outside of this area if they will benefit people in the local parishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
